Judicial Management
The NET Data Integrated Judicial Management System
has been continually enhanced since the software was
developed. Each module of the system will work hand-in-hand
with the other modules to create an electronic flow
of case related information. The electronic flow of
case related information from one judicial office to
another reduces redundant data entry and/or manual record
keeping processes. It also reduces the possibility of
paper related errors and speeds the processing of information
within the Judicial System.
The following is an example of how our system works:
When dispatch receives a call and dispatches an officer
to the scene of a reported crime, the dispatcher may
begin a computer case record of the offense. When the
Criminal Investigation Division of the Sheriff’s
Department receives the file, all information is input
during the initial investigation, or booking of suspects,
is available on-line. Any previous information on suspects
arrested or investigated by the county will also be
available on-line. When this case is presented to the
District Attorney’s Office they will review the
information on-line, adding anything necessary for their
office. Once prepared for prosecution, the necessary
forms for processing the case are printed using the
information accumulated in the system. Confidential
information is secured via a series of security levels
so only information pertinent to an employee’s
job may be accessed by that employee’s password.
When the forms generated by the prosecuting attorney
are filed with the clerk’s office, the clerk enters
the case number, necessary codes for report generation
and other information necessary for their office while
confirming the accuracy of the existing case information.
The Court Coordinators then utilize the system and accumulated
information for generating court dockets. Upon completion
of the case, the disposition of the case may be entered
during court as rendered by the Judge. Court documents
are printed and all necessary information is now available
for the Probation Office.
